Synthetic Ruby Ring

Synthetic gemstones date back to the Industrial Revolution. Made on mass for the watch industry, the term synthetic is often thoughts as being a dirty word. The colours of synthetic stones are so vivid and metallic that they look fabulous and this synthetic ruby is no exception. Mounted in a very simple yet effective 9ct yellow setting, the ring dates to the first part of the 20th Century circa 1900-1915.

Marks: Unmarked - tests confirm 9ct gold.

Measurements: 9mm x 8mm, rising 4.5mm proud of the finger. Knife edge shoulders widening to 2mm at the back of the finger.

Stones: Synthetic ruby.
