18ct Ruby & Diamond Cluster Ring

A nice simple clean cut cluster ring featuring a central Cabochon cut ruby and surrounded by Brilliant cut diamonds. A modern pre-owned item of stock hallmarked 1999. Lovely contrast with the yellow setting to the red ruby while the diamonds are set in white 18ct gold. The shoulders and shank are crafter in 18ct yellow as is the decorative pieced under-gallery.

Marks: Sponsor mark of V & Co. Hallmarked in Sheffield in 2000. Traditional pictorial hallmark for gold as well as the limited 2000 mark to commemorate the millennium.

Stones: Oval cabochon-cut Ruby estimated as 1.6 carats. Twelve brilliant-cut diamonds. Each approximately 0.02ct each. Total diamond weight approximately 0.25ct.

Carat is a measurement of weight not size when we speak of gemstones. As the vast majority of our gemstones are already set we cannot get a precise weight without unsetting them and weighing them. You will see approximate weight written on plenty of our descriptions, mostly old cuts diamonds. We endeavour to get as close as possible using a schindler but ultimately this is not exact.

Measurements: The head of the ring measures 12.8mm x 11.5mm and rises to 6.5mm proud when worn. The shank measures 2mm wide.
