Description: A beautiful early 20th Century opal and diamond ring, typical for of the era. The opals display a vibrant play of colour with striking reds, yellows, and greens. As with all antique opal jewellery, this ring should be worn with care and avoided during day-to-day tasks that could pose a risk of damage.

Metal: 18ct yellow gold.

Marks: G & G. Chester 1919.

Measurements: The head of the ring, where the opals and diamonds sit, measures 17.6mm across the finger, 7.5mm wide, and sits approximately 5.2mm proud. The back of the shank measures 2mm wide.

Stones: Three oval cabochon cut opals, three old-cut diamonds each approximately 0.01ct, and one Swiss-cut diamond also approximately 0.01ct.

Weight: 5.37 grams.

Condition: Excellent condition. One of the diamonds is a replacement but you would not know without looking under magnification.

Finger size: UK K 1/2. US & Canada 5 3/8.
