Antique Diamond Gypsy Ring
A lovely heavy 18ct gold ring that was made in London in 1922. It has been set with three old mine cut diamonds within rub over settings. This style of ring is known as a gypsy ring due to the diamond shaped settings, other rings have star shaped settings. They were very popular in the late Victorian and early Edwardian periods and were often set with different coloured gemstones. This ring can be worn on its own or stacked with others.
Metal: 18ct yellow gold.
Marks: 18, London, 1922.
Stones: This has three old cut diamond with an approximate combined diamond weight of 1ct.
Measurements: 7mm x 20mm. 6mm at the shoulders and 3mm at the back of the finger.
Weight: 7.6 grams.
Condition: Very good - Few signs of wear.
