A lovely example of a late Victorian opal and diamond ring. Decorative scroll work and pierced edges the ring is set with a central cabochon opal and old cut diamonds. The shank has been replaced, a very common occurrence and the work has been done remarkably well.
Metal: 18ct gold.
Marks: Stamped 18ct.
Measurements: 7.8mm wide sitting low to the finger at just over 3mm tall. 2mm D shape shank at the back of the finger.
Stones: Natural white opal crystal exhibiting green blue flashes. Old cut diamonds and rose cuts totalling approximately 0.08ct overall.
Weight: 3 grams.
Condition: Very good.
