Pre-owned vintage signet ring dating to the mid-1980s. A soft cushion shape set with a piece of deep blue lapis lazuli exhibiting good flecks of gold. The stone does show its age thanks to being a naturally soft gemstone. Originally it would most likely have been shiny with a high reflective surface but this has since been lost thanks to years of wear. There is a slight chip in the Lapis but we have taken this into account and priced the ring accordingly. All in all, though this is a wonderfully heavy well-made stone set signet ring, manufactured by Charles Green & Sons.
Metal: 9ct yellow gold.
Marks: CG&S Sheffield 1985.
Measurements: The head of the ring is 14mm at its widest. It sits low to the finger rising just 3mm. 3.8mm D-shaped shank at the back of the finger.
Stones: Lapis Lazuli.
Weight: 8.5 grams.
Condition: The gold is in near-perfect condition. The Lapis does however have a slight nick in one corner. We have filled the chip with epoxy resin glue. This has not been done as a means of securing the stone as it is very well set.
