A single stone diamond set in a tall platinum four claw setting. The stone dates to most likely the Victorian era but has been re-purposed by it’s previous owner into this simple and highly effective stacking ring. The tall setting allows other rings to be worn flush against the band. It is a teeny tiny finger size so suitable for those with petite hands. Sizing up would be possible but at an additional cost which we would be able to quote for before purchase, if you know your finger size. Although a small finger size, this ring is a weighty solid piece of jewellery.
Metal: Platinum
Marks: Do 950 Edinburgh. There are also some foreign marks, possibly Italian.
Measurements: The setting is 5.3mm x 5.3mm, the table of the diamond rises 6mm from the finger. 3mm wide band.
Stones: Single old cut diamond approximately 0.50ct. Colour H/I. Clarity Si2. Pretty tricky to accurately estimate carat weight on such a diamond so we round down our measurements to air on the side of caution.
Weight: 5.25 grams.
Condition: Excellent. Some solder is visible under magnification to the inside of the ring where a size has been done but this is totally normal for platinum.
Finger size: UK G - US & Canada 3 3/8.
