This is a rose gold brooch set with a Operculum circa pre-WWII. An operculum is the covering to a snails shell. It serves as a sort of trapdoor to close the aperture of the shell. Please also see our Operculum ring from the 1930s (which is still in stock at the point of uploading to the website).
Metal: 9ct rose gold.
Marks: stamped 9ct.
Measurements: 22.2mm x 24.6mm and is 10.5mm proud of the chest.
