Another superb example of a true Art Deco ring that we are proud to have in stock. As with all fine jewellery, the small details that are un-seen are what really set these items apart from the modern made items of jewellery. The fret work to the under gallery of this ring is pretty exquisite. The spacing out and proportions are very accurate given that this is a fully handmade piece.
Metal: Platinum.
Marks: Stamped PLAT.
Measurements: 11.5mm x 7.5mm. This ring sits low to the finger with the sapphire rising less than 4mm from the finger.
Stones: Central rectangular cut sapphire which we are calling synthetic. It is the typical synthetic colour and exhibits all the tell tale traits of a synthetic stone. It would be 100% right for the age being synthetic as these ‘lab-grown’ stones were all the rage in the early part of the 20th Century. A collection of natural diamonds totalling approximately 0.46ct overall. Two square cut diamonds, one each at the north and south positions. Narrow baguette cut diamonds east and west positions. The remaining diamonds are small old Eight cut stones each approximately 0.01ct.
Weight: 4 grams.
Condition: Very good. The sapphire does exhibit slight signs of wear on the faces. The shank is also no doubt a replacement, likely built up thanks to being a well loved and cherish ring that was worn a great deal when first new.
Finger size: UK K - US & Canada 5 1/8.
