Platinum and Diamond Square Art Deco Ring
A striking Art Deco ring crafted in platinum throughout. Set with just shy of a carat of diamonds overall, this pretty ring is possibly made by Mappin & Webb.
Being platinum, this ring would not have been able to be fully hallmarked but it is stamped with the initials M&W which would have been punched at the time of manufacture by the makers.
Metal: Platinum.
Marks: M&W. Platinum.
Measurements: The head of the ring measures 11mm by 11mm, with the shank measuring 1.4mm wide.
Stones: Set with thirty-nine diamonds, with a total estimated carat weight of approximately 0.96ct. These include thirty eight-cut diamonds at around 0.01ct each, four square-cut diamonds at approximately 0.12ct each, four baguette-cut diamonds at approximately 0.04ct each, and a central square diamond weighing approximately 0.02ct. The diamonds are colour graded H/I, with a clarity grade mostly in the VS2 range.
Weight: 3.25 grams.
