Ruby and Diamond Floral Ring

A modern pre-owned ruby and diamond cluster ring of a very unique floral design. The ring features six petals of white gold, each set with diamonds and finished with mill-grain detailing. These petals surround the principle stone being a deep red natural ruby of hexagonal shape. A rare cut of facetted stone, the ruby is set in a wonderfully constructed yellow gold rub-over setting. The attention to detail is mirrored in the under-gallery which is a gorgeous pierced framework of yellow gold which acts as the foundations for the white gold petals.

Metal: 18ct yellow and white gold.

Measurements: Maximum diameter taken from point to point of petals is 17mm with the inner petal measurement being approximately 14.5mm. Rising 6.4mm proud of the finger, the knife edge shoulders widen to a 2mm D shape shank.

Stones: Ruby - approximate weight of 1.53ct and a cluster of brilliant cut diamonds weighing approximately 0.78ct combined. Diamond colour assessed as G/H. Clarity Si1.

The ring is accompanied by a ruby report produced by The Gem and Pearl Laboratory of Kirby Street London stating the ruby to be natural, exhibiting evidence of heat treatment. Heat treatments have been applied to rubies for centuries and the procedure is commonly done before cutting.

Weight: 6.8 grams.
