A gorgeous diamond mourning ring dating to the late Victorian era. The old cut diamonds, totalling approximately 0.44ct, rise form the black enamel set in the 18ct yellow gold of which the ring is crafted in. Fine hand engraving marks the obituary of Alice Leoviitt who passed away on December 4th 1889. Being that the ring is hallmarked in 1892, Alice was obviously dearly missed and was still in the thoughts of this ring’s previous custodian. It is evident that the ring was well looked after given the extremely good condition of the enamel.
