A solid 9ct gold heart shaped locket with textured front and polished back. We are able to date this as being made before 1975 due to the format of the hallmark but we cannot put a precise date on the piece because the date letter is missing.
Metal: 9ct gold.
Marks: PPld on the back. Inside the locket on the back of the front section is a 9.375 fineness mark. This tells us that this locket was hallmarked before 1975. After 1975 that format was changed.
Measurements: 22.5mm x 29mm. 4.5mm thick.
Weight: 3.1 grams. This weight is taken with the inner bezels, fabric and perspex removed.
